Spell "Cool New Dictionary!" and use it in a sentence..

Third grade students throughout the Lake Havasu Unified School District have a brand new learning tool this week thanks to the Lake Havasu City Rotary Club.
Each third grade child in Lake Havasu City is receiving their very own Dictionary to use as a personal reference tool. The new Encyclopedic Edition
Dictionaries were distributed to each child in a classroom presentation by club members and the children were instructed in their use. "I guess I wasn't ready for the response." said Jerry Aldridge, one of the presenters."The kids were very excited and appreciative. They did a good job of trying to stump me on hard words so I guess I need to buy one of these for myself. We talked about how to look up words and find their meaning. We also talked about how some words have more than one meaning and then we looked at the reference features of the book. Third graders at Havasupai are getting ready to study the Declaration of Independence and we all went over that section along with the U.S. Constitution." The project is the brain storm of Lake Havasu Rotary Member Charlie Buttke who used a special grant from Rotary International to help their club fund the project. "Rotary International supports worthwhile education efforts all over the world." Charlie said. "This is an opportunity to put something in the hands of young minds at a pivotal time in their education experience." He added: "For some it is the only book they own and a very important reference tool for their studies." The Lake Havasu City Rotary Club plans to continue the distribution of quality dictionaries to third graders as an annual club project.

Thank you Rotary brothers and sisters for the willing and caring time you're dedicating to our Community Service projects and fundraisers. I certainly appreciate everything each of you are contributing to the most successful Rotary Club Year ever!
